1. Who We Are

Metriqs is operated by Jack Watkin, trading as Metriqs, a sole trader registered with HMRC in England and Wales. ICO Registration Number: ZC151236 Our registered business address is: Metriqs, Southampton, United Kingdom. For general inquiries, contact hello@trymetriqs.com. For data protection inquiries, please contact privacy@trymetriqs.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account: your full name, email address, and agency name. When you connect third-party platforms, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens (encrypted at rest) and the data those platforms return — such as website analytics and advertising metrics. We also collect basic usage data including login timestamps and which features you use, to maintain account security and improve the service.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to: provide and maintain the Metriqs service; generate automated client reports from your connected marketing platforms; send essential service notifications (report generation, billing, security alerts); process payments via Stripe; and improve product features based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns. We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we sell, rent, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Referral program: if you participate in our referral program, we track which users signed up using your referral link in order to apply referral credits. Referral incentives are disclosed in your account settings.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Upstash Redis infrastructure hosted in the United States (Upstash Redis, us-east-1 region). We apply AES-256-GCM encryption at rest for all stored OAuth tokens and sensitive account data. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only, and we maintain audit logs of administrative access. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

6. Third-Party Services

Metriqs integrates with the following third-party services: Google LLC (Google Analytics OAuth, Google Fonts, Google Ads, Google Search Console) — Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Upstash QStash (background job processing for automated report generation) — Upstash Privacy Policy at upstash.com/trust/privacy. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We access only the minimum scopes required to deliver the Metriqs service.

7. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored in the United States (Upstash Redis, us-east-1 region). If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, this means your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent mechanisms under UK GDPR. Our other processors (Stripe, Anthropic, Resend) also operate in the United States under equivalent safeguards.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Generated reports are retained until you delete them or close your account. OAuth tokens from Google and Meta are invalidated immediately when you disconnect those integrations. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting law.

9. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR/UK GDPR: Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data. Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ('right to be forgotten'). Right to restriction — request that we limit how we process your data. Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests. Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@trymetriqs.com. We acknowledge all privacy requests within 5 business days and provide a full response within 30 days, or 45 days for CCPA requests, as permitted by law. Complex requests may require an extension, which we will notify you of within the initial response period. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (for UK users: the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).

10. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the following rights: Right to know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and our purposes for collecting it. Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions. Right to opt-out — we do not sell personal information, so no opt-out mechanism is required. Right to non-discrimination — you have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@trymetriqs.com or submit a verifiable consumer request. We will respond within 45 days.

11. Cookies

We use functional cookies necessary to operate the service (metriqs_session for authentication), and analytics cookies from PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our service. You will be asked for consent to analytics cookies when you first visit. The metriqs_session cookie is first-party, HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. It does not track you across other websites. We load Google Fonts to display our interface. This may transfer your IP address to Google. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Metriqs is designed for use by marketing professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@trymetriqs.com and we will delete it promptly.
